Arrival Times:
It is extremely important for all participants to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled times. Late arrivals can and will result in loss of activity time and or total loss of activity. We try our best to accommodate and reschedule, but this is not always possible, especially during our busy times. Please plan accordingly with summertime traffic!
Alcohol and drugs:
We adhere to all local, state, and federal Laws. If any participant intending on operating any equipment is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol their rental will be terminated. Alcoholic beverages can be consumed on our rental boats, and on our captained dolphin tours however we do not allow any hard liquor, and no glass bottles. If you plan on consuming any alcohol, this is not to be overdone, please drink responsible.
Damages:
You as the renter are solely responsible for any damages or injuries that you cause while operating any of our equipment. We offer Damage protection policies for our Jet Ski Rentals, Jet Ski Tours, and our Boat Rentals. If this offering is elected you are still responsible for any damages over the coverage protection amount, these policies are not an “insurance Policy” and do not include any coverage for any injurys. If the Damage protection is not elected you are entirely responsible for any damages to any equipment, we also hold the right to pursue any funds for losses through the Dare County Court systems. With or without the coverage, we hold the right to end any ride or service if we deem the equipment is not handled in an appropriate manor, early termination of a ride will not result in a refund.
Safety:
Safety is our top Priority. Anyone operating in an unsafe manor, that can be considered a danger to themselves, others, or our equipment, will have their rental terminated, this early termination will not result in a refund. It is your responsibility as the renter to know and follow all safety guidelines in place, failure to follow rules, can and will result in early ride termination.
Cancellations:
We have a strict 48-hour cancelation policy. We will provide a full refund for cancellations made 48 hours prior to the original scheduled time. No refunds will be issued for cancellations issued within 48 hours. We do provide a trip protection policy for an additional 10% that allows cancellation up to the last minute (no call no shows do not qualify) you would receive a full refund minus the 10% fee.
Weather Policies:
Safety is our number 1 goal and priority. If inclement weather rolls into our area we will cease all operations, this can result in cancelled or shortened activities. We do our best to offer times to reschedule but this cannot be guaranteed. If your activity has not been started and rescheduling is not an option, you would receive a full refund. Any activity that has started but not able to be completed due to inclement weather will either receive a partial or “pro-rated” refund, or a rain check can be applied to complete your time when weather is no longer an issue. Due to the nature of the storms in our area it can be raining in one town and clear in ours, so there for it is our call on the weather conditions.
Waivers:
All participants 18 years of age or older must complete their own liability waiver, prior to any activity. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian complete a waiver for them. If you are not willing to complete a waiver, service will be denied.
Jet ski Specific:
- Must be 18 + to rent.
- Drivers must be a minimum 16 years old to drive with a valid ID. No ID No driving. Minors 16 or 17 cannot drive other minors.
- Passengers must always ride behind the driver.
- All participants must wear a properly fitted USCG approved PFD at all times.
- Drivers must wear safety lanyard/ kill switch at all times.
- Drivers must receive a detailed safety orientation provided by Causeway Watersports before operating.
- Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will have their rental terminated.
- Renter is fully responsible for any damages or injuries they cause during their rental.
Boat Rentals Specific:
- Must be 18+ to rent, operate, and received a safety orientation by causeway watersports before operating.
- Drivers must remain sober at all times.
- Children under 13 are required to wear a USCG approved PFD at all times.
- No liquour, or glass bottles are allowed on boats, all participants must drink responsibly.
