Where does the Catamaran charter depart from?

Our Sailing Catamaran Tours depart from ShallowBag Bay Marina, located in Manteo 1100 North Bay Club Drive, Manteo NC 27954. After Checking in at Causeway Watersports to pay and complete activity waivers, you will have about a 5 minute drive ahead of you, we provide a detailed map, with step by step directions and above gps coordinates on how to get to the sailing vessel. This will also be your boarding ticket so please remember to take this with you.

Are we allowed to bring alcohol?

Yes, alcoholic beverages are ok to bring (for those of legal age), however we restrict this to beer and wine (No Hard Liquor). We also ask for no glass bottles.

Can we bring food and a cooler?

Yes, anything you would like to have to eat or drink is ok, please see above concerning alcohol. All we ask is to please clean up after yourself.

As we have two live aboard pets Mango (cat) Rudder (dog), additional pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved and friendly with other animals.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes, all required life jackets are kept on board, anyone 13 years of age or young is required to wear a life jacket at all times and will be provided one when boarding.

Can We bring our own life jacket?

Yes, if you have your own life jacket/s you are more than welcome to bring it along. However it must be USCG approved, this approval stamp can be found on the inside back of must life jackets (if applicable). If you are unsure if your life jacket is USCG approved feel free to ask any of our staff and we will be happy to let you know.

What should we wear or bring?

Spring and fall can be a little cooler on the water, so we recommend jackets and hoodies (these can always be taken off if you are warm. During the summer months, beach attire, swim suits and light clothing are more recommend. Hats, sunscreen, cameras, snacks and drinks are encouraged, we depart from a full service marina Shallowbag Bay Marina and restaurant Strippers Bar and Grille so if you have forgotten just about anything, there are options onsite.

Do we sail the boat, or is there a captain provided?

We take care of all of the heavy lifting, USCG Licensed Captain Butch Stone will take care of all operations and driving, so you and your party can sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Nags Head, Outer Banks.

Are we allowed to swim?

We do allow swimming, however we only offer this with our 3 hour option, due to additional time for set up and break down. If this is something you are interested in doing, please book a 3 hour option, and let your captain know when boarding.

Can we book more than 3 hours?

Yes, we can offer longer rental periods. If this is something you are interested in you will need to give us a call to set up a longer trip 252-441-8875.

Is tipping Customary?

Just like any other service industry your captain works for tips. Tipping is based on your quality experience, if you feel your captain has provided an exceptional service then 20% is industry standard.

Do you have a bathroom onboard?

Yes, we do have a marine head onboard.
