Yes, small children are welcome with an adult on our single kayaks. There is no extra charge for this.
Our rentals start with an hour, but additional hours are available at a reduced rate if interested. Everyone is different in what they are looking for, most rentals are either an hour or two, however more time is available if needed.
We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, bottle water, a snack, and a water proof pouch or case for your phone. Most items can also be purchased at our shop if you forget!
Our location is situated just north of a maze of undeveloped island (about 10 minutes paddle time). These islands protect you from the wind, and keep the conditions nice and calm. This area also provides a great opportunity to get a glimpse of Herons, Pelicans, an array of different fish species, turtles and much more OBX native wildlife.
Yes, you may use your own life jackets, as long as they are USCG approved. This stamp can be found on the back of most jackets (if applicable). If you are unsure, feel free to bring in and our staff will be happy to check for you.
Each rental includes the single kayak, life jacket, paddle, and basic instructions on the operation and designated area in which you must stay.
