16 Person Pontoon Rental

Due to the extreme popularity of our pontoon rentals and/or specific rental times, reservations are highly recommended. Typically speaking, making a reservation several days prior to your expected departure date and time is advisable. (Holidays may require more planning).

We do have a large fleet of boats and will accommodate walk-ins or last-minute reservations if there is availability.

Due to regulations set by the United States Coast Guard, we cannot provide any driver or captain to operate the boat for you. However, we do give a very thorough orientation and operational instructions for the vessel (approximately 10 minutes) prior to your departure. If you are looking for a charter or captained activity, check out our dolphin tours or sailing catamaran charters.

You don’t need a special boating license to rent from us, as we provide detailed operating procedures for the vessel and where you can and can’t go. To rent, you only need a valid driver’s license, a credit card (for a damage deposit), and to be at least 18 years old.

However, we do encourage getting a boater’s safety license to provide a better understanding and safety on the water. A free boater’s safety course can be completed here.

Yes, fishing and/or crabbing on our boats is allowed. However, the state of North Carolina does require a valid NC fishing license for anyone 16 years of age or older.

We do not provide on-site license purchases, but a fishing license can be obtained here.

We do have fishing rod rentals available that can be added to your rental.

We rent 7′ Penn Battle 2 combos that come pre-spooled with 20 lb braid, mono leader, a quick-connect swivel shackle, and 5 hooks. Each rod rental is $25 and is only valid for the duration of the rental. Additional tackle is for sale at our location.

To rent or operate a pontoon, you must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a credit card. Any minors will have to have an adult present to complete their liability waiver.

We do not allow any docking at any other location other than our own. We have found there is too much potential liability (potential injuries, damage to our vessel, or others). Due to these factors, we do not offer this. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Absolutely, we are a pet-friendly operation and allow all well-behaved pets on our boats and at our location. All we ask is please pick up after your pet and be prepared for us to give them some extra belly rubs!

All of our pontoon rentals come with Bimini shade tops that cover approximately the back half of the boat. This is set up as standard with all of our rentals.

If you are interested in getting more of the sun’s rays and working on your tan, simply ask the staff before your departure, and we will be happy to accommodate your request.

Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions and liability, we do not allow tubing behind any of our boat rentals. If you want to go tubing, you can book a tubing charter with one of our licensed captains. For larger groups, you can book our tubing boat to correspond with your pontoon rental and swap riders along the way.

Yes, of course; however, the sound as a whole is very shallow, so please no diving!

Yes, all of our pontoon boats must stay inside specific boundaries. We offer a very large area, with plenty of sights and spots to explore.

Our northern boundary: The northernmost tip of Roanoke Island (Manteo) across to Jockey’s Ridge State Park.

Our southern boundary: Wanchese’s Water Tower.

These boundaries are set up to provide a massive area, but also to keep the vessels out of as much shallow water as possible, which could result in groundings or damage to the pontoon boats.

Yes, of course! Our boats do offer a high person capacity, but we realize some parties/families would exceed these capacities. Please keep in mind the boats cannot be rafted off together, but can be anchored close to each other to allow communication between the boats.

Yes, we allow alcoholic beverages on the boats. We do limit this to beer and wine (NO HARD LIQUOR). We ask that you do not bring glass on the boats as well. Whoever is driving the boat must remain completely sober at all times.
