Frequently Asked Questions

How old do you have to be to drive a jet ski?

Drivers must be a minimum of 16 years of age, with “legal” proof of age (driver’s license or permit, passport, etc). Proof of age can be provided with documents on hand or by a picture on a phone. Without seeing proof of age, we cannot let you drive, so please make sure you bring “proof of age” with you.

Drivers 16 & 17 years old cannot drive or have a passenger who is another minor!

Minors must have an adult present at all times during their rental.

Can we rent jet skis for more than one hour at a time?

Multiple hour slots can be booked. However, our rentals must stay in a designated area (approximately 2 square miles). We do not allow a free-range option. If you are looking for more of a “free-range” experience, we encourage you to check out our Jet Ski Tours.

How many people are allowed on each jet ski?

Maximum of 3 riders per jet ski, or a 450 lb combined weight. * This maximum weight can change due to conditions at the time of your rental. *

Can we switch drivers and or passengers?

With our rentals, we do allow switching drivers and passengers. Please keep in mind that once your time starts, it continues; “switching” is part of your rental time.

I've never ridden a jet ski before. Is it dangerous?

Jet skis are generally easy to ride, even for a beginner! We will go over the safety rules and regulations with you before hitting the water, and we will make sure to familiarize you with your machine and where to operate your jet ski for your safe riding pleasure.

How large is the riding area?

Our riding area is very large; we set it up this way for safety and enjoyment. It is approximately 2 square miles and marked with high-visibility buoys.

How old do I need to be to rent a jet ski?

To rent a jet ski from us, you must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and credit card.

What should we wear?

Everyone is different in what they choose to wear. We recommend swimsuits, or basically anything you don’t mind getting wet. When going on your rental, we do recommend leaving anything you wouldn’t want to potentially lose, such as hats, sunglasses, and phones.

Will I need to pay for the gas?

Nope! Your rental comes with a full tank of gas and is ready to go!

Do you provide life jackets?

Life jackets are included with your rental at no extra charge and must be worn at all times while participating in the activity!

Can we bring our own life jackets?

Yes, you can bring and use your own life jackets. However, they must be USCG-approved; this approval stamp can be found on the back of most life jackets (if applicable). If you are unsure, feel free to bring them along and ask any of our staff to check for you.

Will weather affect my jet ski rental?

Generally, we are open rain or shine. The wind and water conditions can affect safety, so we will use our discretion in rescheduling or issuing refunds.

Do I need a special license to rent a jet ski?

You don’t need a special boating license, as we give a complete tutorial on how to operate our jet skis prior to your rental. We do encourage safety on the water, so if you would like to get your boater safety certification, you can do so here for free.
