Are reservations required?
Due to the extreme popularity of our rides and limited space available, reservations are highly recommended. We will accommodate walk-ups if there is availability, but to ensure your specific time, it is best to make a reservation.
My kids might be a little nervous, how intense is the ride?
First and foremost, safety is our number one goal. With that being said, we want to make sure that everyone has a great time. We give instructions and signals to each rider. “Thumbs up for faster, thumbs down for slower”. Therefore, each ride is based on the participant’s level of comfort. Our experienced USCG-licensed captains will make sure everyone in your party has a great time.
I have more than 6 people who want to tube; can they still go?
Absolutely! Though we take a maximum of 6 people at a time on the boat, we can switch out passengers at the dock (switching passengers and time at the dock is a part of the overall booked time). We can accommodate larger groups; please purchase more time in our cart feature.
Passenger & Time Recommendations:
6 passengers or less – 30 mins – 1.5 hours
12 passengers or less – 1.5 hours – 2.5 hours
12 + passengers – 2.5 hours or more
How many people can ride on the tube at one time?
We use only the best on the market O’Brien Swift 3 tubes, which allow 3 riders or 500 lbs, whichever comes first. Our tubes of choice are built for comfort and stability.
What if the weather is uncooperative?
The weather can change very quickly on the Outer Banks, especially in the summertime. We are constantly watching the weather and will always return to the dock if there is any chance of inclement weather. If this means you were unable to go at your time, we will try to reschedule; if that is not possible, then of course you will receive a full refund.
